International Volunteer Recognition Day 2026 was marked in Dublin with the 6th edition of the HELP Awards, hosted by the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin to recognise community service across Ireland. The event brought together volunteers, community leaders, human rights advocates, changemakers and past honourees.
The keynote address was delivered by previous awardee Frank Allen, a playwright, director and former Dublin Prisons teacher. Awardees included Walk And Talk with Stephen Brennan, the Kurdish Community of Ireland with Mokthar Moradi, the Indonesian-Irish Association with Irene Murphy, Scoil Rince Ní Áogain with Denise Egan, Nicolae Dulea, Joseph news euro 2024 Orgin and Feljose Shristeca, Stefano Bonvini, Mohammed Rashid from Safco Fine Foods, Mass Events Ireland, Dr. Mahesh Baj and Neera Baj.
Established in 2019 by the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, the HELP Awards celebrate those improving lives through community service. They also reflect the broader mission of the Scientology Volunteer Minister programme, created by author and humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard, whose trained volunteers offer practical help in communities and during times of crisis. The event celebrated the impact of volunteerism and the value of practical community support.
